The International Journal of Eye Banking is the first and only journal devoted exclusively to eye banking. It is a peer-reviewed, online, open access publication. All material published in the journal is freely available to read, share, download, copy, or reference, with appropriate citation.
The journal’s mission is to advance eye banking worldwide by providing an independent venue to:
The journal seeks to support and augment like-minded institutions and existing ophthalmological journals, by serving as the global forum for the eye banking community.
The editors take seriously their responsibility to ensure the integrity of contributions. They carefully monitor and follow prevailing ethical guidelines for authorship, conflict of interest and financial disclosure, privacy of patients’ data, advertising and sponsorship, and anonymity of peer review. The journal adheres to the general practices of the “Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals: Writing and Editing for Biomedical Publication” established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors. First-time authors of scientific papers will find this document a valuable resource for drafting their manuscripts.
The chief responsibility of the journal’s Editor-in-Chief and its Editorial Board is to assure fair, consistent, and unbiased review of submitted manuscripts. Authors, however, are ultimately responsible for the articles’ content. The statements and opinions appearing within the International Journal of Eye Banking are solely those of the individual authors and contributors and do not represent the opinions of the journal, its editors or members of the Editorial Board, or the publisher.
